Dead Sea!!

This is a picture album of my trip to the Dead Sea. I hope you enjoy the pictures. I head to Jerusalem on Friday and then Bethlehem on Saturday and Sunday. I am so excited to be where Jesus was born on the day we celebrate His birth. There will be no Christmas tree or presents for me under the tree this Christmas. But that is okay, I am celebrating something more important. I am celebrating Jesus birth and nothing else. I pray that everyone has a very Merry Christmas and enjoys the time off from work and school!!!

The Dead Sea in the distance.

Starting down the trail at Ein Gedi, a water oasis by the Dead Sea  and a bottled water company. It is mentioned in the Bible several times. The first I found was in Song of Songs 1:14 talking about the vineyards it says "a cluster of henna in the vineyards of Ein Gedi." In 1 Samuel 24:1, it is where King David hid in the "strongholds of Ein Gedi."

Jumping in the water at Ein Gedi.
The hidden waterfall.

The Dead Sea up close

The Dead Sea with natural hot springs coming out of it.

Steven, my roommate for 3 weeks, by the hot spring.

Going in the Dead Sea, very foggy.

Thinking about how much my legs are burning and if I should dare sit down in the water with all my  open cuts.

Okay I decided to.

Spreading the mud on myself. They say it is good for the skin.

Going in the hot spring to take the mud off. It feels so nice.

Merry Christmas!! I hope you enjoyed the pictures. Look forward to pictures from Bethlehem coming soon.

Your Friend,

Patrick
